Blackouts have gripped several parts of Kaduna as the ongoing strike by workers of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) stalls repair efforts on a fault already identified by engineers.
The affected areas include 44 Hospital, Government House, Mogadishu, Polytechnic, Tudunwada, Leventis, Badikko, and neighbouring communities.
According to the electricity distribution company, its technical team had traced the cause of the outage but could not carry out immediate repairs due to restricted access to the site caused by the industrial action.
The company’s management apologised to customers, saying it regretted the inconvenience and appealed for patience and understanding until supply is restored.
