Immigration News Canada (INC) reports that on June 10th, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held an Express Entry draw targeting Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates.

125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 784 or higher.

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is a Canadian immigration program that lets provinces and territories choose people who want to move to Canada and live in a specific region.

Details of the Express Entry Draw

According to Immigration News Canada, IRCC held its third Express Entry draw of the month in June 10th, 2025. It was only for Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates, who get 600 extra CRS points from their nomination. In this round, 125 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were sent to candidates ranked 125 or higher.

The lowest CRS score of the invited candidates was 784. The tie-break rule applied was based on the candidate’s profile submission date and time of September 12, 2024.

This draw follows recent rounds, including a healthcare and social services draw on June 4th, which issued 500 ITAs with a CRS cut-off of 504, and a PNP draw on June 2nd, which issued 277 ITAs with a CRS cut-off of 726.

According to the release, the high CRS cut-off in this PNP-specific draw shows the competitive nature of candidates benefiting from provincial nominations.”

Current Express Entry Pool Score Distribution

As of June 9th, 2025, the Express Entry candidate pool included over 256,000 candidates. 102 candidates had CRS scores between 601 and 1200, a decrease from the previous week. Candidates in the 501-600 range increased slightly to 24,823, and those in the 451-500 range rose to 76,090.

The gradual shifts in the pool reflect ongoing selection rounds, with candidates continually entering, receiving invitations, or removing their profiles.

Express Entry Draws Overview in 2025

So far in 2025, IRCC has issued 35,342 ITAs across various draws. These include:

  • 10 Provincial Nominee Program draws
  • 4 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draws
  • 3 French-language proficiency draws
  • 2 Healthcare and Social Services draws
  • 1 Education category draw

Recent draws have focused on candidates with specific skills and language abilities to meet Canada’s economic priorities. For example, the March 21st, 2025 draw issued 7,500 ITAs to proficient French-language candidates with a CRS cut-off of 379.

The PNP draws continue to have higher CRS cut-offs, showing the 600-point addition for provincial nominees, making it easier for those candidates to receive ITAs despite lower base CRS scores.

What This Means for Immigration Candidates

The June 10th draw shows the importance of provincial nominations in increasing a candidate’s chances of receiving an ITA through Express Entry. Candidates with provincial nominations get a significant CRS score boost, as confirmed by the 784 cut-off in this round.

Immigration experts advise candidates to ‘explore PNP opportunities and optimise their Express Entry profiles to improve their chances in future draws.’

Candidates who receive an ITA can apply for permanent residency in Canada. The Express Entry system prioritises skilled immigrants who can contribute to the Canadian economy and fill labour market gaps.

Candidates are encouraged to monitor updates and prepare their applications accordingly to benefit from upcoming draws.
