More than 7,000 fully funded bachelor-level scholarships for the 2026–2027 academic years will be available to international students starting February 2026, with application deadlines running through July 2026. The opportunities are offered through government-funded and public university scholarship programs across six countries in Asia and Europe.

Türkiye, China, Taiwan, Italy, Romania, and France.

Major Asian Government Scholarship Programs

In Türkiye, the government-funded Türkiye Scholarships program will accept bachelor-level applications until February 20th 2026. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, health insurance, and a monthly stipend for international undergraduate students enrolled at participating Turkish universities. Language requirements depend on the program and institution.

China will continue accepting undergraduate applications under the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) through March and April 2026, depending on the university route. More than 270 Chinese universities are participating in the program, offering over 5,000 funded bachelor scholarships. IELTS or TOEFL is not required in all cases, particularly where prior education was completed in English.

In Taiwan, the Ministry of Education (MOE) Scholarship will remain open until 31 March 2026. The program provides tuition support and a monthly living allowance for international bachelor students. English-taught degree programs generally require proof of English proficiency, depending on university regulations.

European Regional and National Funding Options

In Italy, DSU regional scholarships will open between February and July 2026, depending on the region and university. These need-based scholarships may include tuition waivers, accommodation support, meal allowances, and financial grants. Language requirements vary according to the language of instruction.

Romania is expected to close applications for its government scholarship program between February and March 2026. Most funded bachelor programs are taught in Romanian and include a preparatory language year. English language tests are generally not required for Romanian-taught degrees.

In France, public universities will offer institution-based excellence scholarships for bachelor students from February to May 2026. These scholarships are awarded directly by universities and apply to selected programs taught in English or French, with language certification required accordingly.
